Recruit (Level 1)

The recruit often functions as the brute strength in a starting mercenary band. Their enhanced strength enables them to do more damage than the other two starting classes. Although the recruit can take more damage than other early classes, they are slow and easy to hit. A party entirely made up of these fighters would not be recommended.

Archer (Level 1)

Archers are the parties long range fighters. They are good in all statistics but outstanding in none. They're primary skill is their ability to carry and use range weapons as well as wear decent armor. The archer's versatility in combat make them a useful adition to any beginning mercenary band.

Scout (Level 1)

Fast and agile, the scout is capable of travelling futher than any other character available to a newly started band. Their agility makes them much harder to hit than either the recruit or the archer, but this is also reflected in the fact that they do much less damage than their counterparts.

Veteran (Level 2)

The veteran is often one of the first to join a party after it starts to gain reknown. If a recruit is lucky he may one day acheive this ranking. Like the recruit the veteran is more of a fighter, though not as agile or versetile as the assassin or marksman he can potentialy do much more damage.

Marksman (Level 2)

Marksmen make up the bulk of most standing armies in Mythica. Their long range and balanced statistics also make unemployed Marksmen an attractive opportunity for a mercenary band which can afford their fee. Archers will often develop the skills of a Marksmen after several years in the trade.

Assassin (Level 2)

The Assassins of the White Rose make for natural members in a mercenary band. White Rose members are highly agile warriors who make up for their lack of strength with ruthless accuracy. Although their pride and price keeps them from ever working with an unknown party, once you have proof that you can pay their fee assassins will flock to your banner. Many scouts who have perfected their skills are enlisted by the Order of the White Rose.

Orc Warrior (Level 3)

Orcs are a brutal and fierce race, only found in abundance in the wild lands of Barant. Many Orcs leave their home tribes and search for gold and glory, making them both common foes of mercenaries as well as useful allies. They are incredibly strong warriors with equally strong appetites, so only a wealthy party is ever advised to approach an Orc.

Wizard Apprentice (Level 3)

The Elves of Thalasirmon are very adept at magic, leading to many of them becoming magic users. Apprentice wizards who offer themselves to mercenary bands are as well known for their arrogance as well as their power, charging enormous fees for their help. Many established parties are willing to pay however, for the wizards are able to use more powerful mystical items in combat than any other mercenary.

Dwarven Scout (Level 3)

The Dwarves are an almost extinct race, whose homeland is somewhere at the foot of the Dragon Mountains. Although the bulk of the dwarves have been destroyed, those which survive are readily accepted as mercenaries. Dwarves are surprisingly agile for their small size, and are able to move easily through terrain which others find difficult.

It is rumored that more character classes are available for hiring into a band of mercenaries. Surely, the great land of Mythica has numerous peoples, some of whom perhaps could be persuaded to join your party. Keep your eyes open and who knows what you will find.
